[edit]Umuchu shares boundary between Anambra and Imo States. It is connected by road to Umunze in the east and Igbo-Ukwu in the northwest. It is home to the Igbo people, and Igbo language is also the name of the local dialect of the Umuchu people.

By bus Visitors can also get to Umuchu by boarding any local bus from Onitsha or any other major city in Anambra State.

There are also shuttle buses that complements the motorcycles and tricycles as the means of transportation available across the city. Indigenes and residents also move about with private vehicles.
