Understand
[edit]I'm new to the WikiVoyage realm (Jul 2022), but not to traveling. After seeing a few articles about places I've been to but felt like I could say a few things, it sorta kinda sucked me in :/
With a love of photography and travel, I can't say if I travel to photograph or photograph to travel, but --eh-- it doesn't really matter which. The photography causes me to slow down and absorb what's all around me. The travel puts me in places near and far that get me away from my regular routine. And I've been fortunate to have many friends who are park rangers, so in these places I often get info slices that aren't available to the general public. There's a lot to experience when you go "on patrol" with a parkie. Oddities I experience tend to stick with me and I want to share somewhere, but if I prattle on at my friends, well, they might just start to yawn. Maybe you'll find these bits a touch more intriguing.
Do
[edit]General efforts
[edit]For now, I'm working on content near me: Arizona and southern California. At some time I'll branch out to other places I've experienced: nearly 50 countries across all 6 contients with countries, with 1000s of photographs (though no photos submitted here... yet).
- Arizona and Southern California: notably Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.
- Looking forward to river rafting the Colorado River soon (Aug 2022).
- Touch up routeboxes in these immediate areas.
