I have been active on TripAdvisor as the_goodsoil_family. I tried my hand at updating TripAdvisor Traveller Articles but the company blocked updates in November 2016, presumably in preparation to removing the feature. After looking around I decided that Wikivoyage has a way of working that is the best match for my working style and the best place where to spend effort.
This website uses the Wikivoyage API to get and display all the information you see. This is the MediaWiki API, which is a general API for accessing data from Wikimedia projects. You can find information about it here: MediaWiki API.
