Advice for new users:
[edit]- The subject of Wikivoyage and Wikitravel should be avoided at all cost. Believe me, I was banned for 3 days for exactly that. Not only could you get yourself in big trouble, you might even run the risk of setting up Wikimedia for a lawsuit.
- User:ThunderingTyphoons! was a big help for me when it comes to learning to format.
- Set up an e-mail for your account ASAP. It will be a big help if you are blocked and need to appeal your ban.
- When you're using another user's talk page, add four tildes after your message, like this: ~~~~. This will place your name, as well as the time and date of writing, after your message. Otherwise, you might upset the admins, something never good.
- Be sure to read over the rules. That way, you won't unknowingly get yourself in any trouble.
