I'm up to 59 countries and 3 territories visited personally (going by the Wikivoyage travel map definition) and have academic research experience with Afghanistan and Myanmar politics and society which I apply to en-Wiki, but I am also informed about what it takes to travel to these places right now, and to provide frank, but not sensationalist, safety assesments. Beyond that, I have extensive real-world experience successfully navigating unusual tourist visa applications, including ones with very low odds of approval for those holding weak passports. Those are the areas I intend to work on on here. I hope that's a useful complement to those who want to write more about attractations and hidden wonders.
I also have pharmacy and legal skills required to answer questions about bringing medicines of concern overseas.
