You are way overdue for an official greeting, so here it is:

    Hello, Toran107! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thanks for all your contributions so far!

    All the best,

    Geocoordinates

    [edit]

Hi, Toran107, and thanks very much for updating all those Boston-area articles! One small detail, though: I feel like you're providing too many decimals in your geocoordinates in edits such as this one, such that they are probably accurate to a fraction of an inch.

    All the best,

    Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:40, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I just copy the location off google maps, and just put them in, it just copies the coordinates' decimal points regardless if I zoom in or out. I could delete all the decimals past the 3rd or 4th digit, but it's a pain to go through all the missing points in all the articles' entries. Toran107 (talk) 21:57, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Of course we're all volunteers here, so I understand and respect your doing whatever you feel inspired to do. Just a thought, in case you feel like doing that some time later. Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:03, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

    Time formatting

    [edit]

Thanks for your updates on various articles. It is easiest for readers if we use one time format per article, rather than changing from one format to another to another through an article. There are two used in Wikivoyage -- a 12-hour format (e.g. 9AM-noon, 2PM-6PM, not 9 AM or 5 PM), and a 24-hour format (e.g. 09:00-13:00 and 14:00-18:00).

Also, we use the format that is used in the country the article is about. Which format is used in each country is set out at the top of the country's talk page, e.g., Talk:South Korea explains that we use the 24-hour clock, not the 12-hour clock, in South Korea articles. I hope that helps. Ground Zero (talk) 15:32, 13 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
