[edit]Get in
[edit]By bus
[edit]You can get in by route 185 which goes from Maitland and Gresford to Vacy. There is only one service in each direction on weekdays and no services on weekends and public holidays. The bus network is designed to prioritise services to Maitland in the morning, and back to Vacy and Gresford in the afternoon.
By car
[edit]From Maitland, Vacy is a 30-minute drive. Head north on Paterson Rd and keep following the road (it changes names multiple times) until Vacy.
The road to Vacy is very poorly maintained – potholes on the road are common. Although it has a speed limit of 80–100 km/h, you will not be able to achieve those speeds.
Get around
[edit]On foot
[edit]Vacy is a walkable town. It is less than fifteen minutes from the bus stop to everywhere listed below.
See
[edit]- 1 Vacy Bridge, Gresford Road. The main highlight of the town, which happens to be a single-lane wooden bridge. Pedestrian access exists on the western half of the bridge, but getting to the bridge as a pedestrian is hard given the lack of a proper footpath on either end.
