Versailles is a small town about half an hour's drive west of Lexington. It's known for the Woodford Reserve whiskey distillery and is in the heart of Kentucky's Bourbon country.

The Bluegrass Parkway bypasses Versailles on its southern side, with Exit 68 (KY-33, aka Troy Pike) becoming the Main Street to the north of the parkway. US-60 connects Frankfort and I-64 with the town from the north.
