    Hove Church
    • 1 Hove Church (Hove kyrkje) (south of the village). Built c. 1170. It is the only Romanesque church in Sogn og Fjordane. Hove Church is probably the oldest stone church in Sogn og Fjordane. The church was built around 1170 by an unknown builder, probably a wealthy man with a seat in Vik. The church was built of soapstone that was quarried in Arnafjord and transported by boat and sled to the construction site. The building is maintained by National Trust of Norway (the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments). Hove Church (Q847909) on Wikidata Hove Church on Wikipedia
