Weimar is a small town of just 2,000 residents, in the Post Oak Savannah region of Texas about half way between Houston and San Antonio. A wave of Czech and German immigrants settled in Central Texas in the 19th century and Weimar preserves some of that heritage.

- St. Cyril and Methodius Shrine, 4148 FM1383, Dubina. This is one of several famous painted churches in Central Texas that were established by Czech and German immigrants in the 19th century. This one served a Czech community and many of the elaborate interior paintings bear inscriptions written in the Czech language. Decorative embellishments are along the walls, windows, and ceiling edges which features a pastel blue ceiling, creating a peaceful sense of tranquility. The church is dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius and was consecrated as a shrine by the bishop of the archdiocese in 2022. Dubina is not really a town, but more of a spread-out farming community. The population of Dubina is about a couple dozen people and several hundred cattle (moo or less).
