Wikia Travel is a wiki whose goal is to create a new travel guide. It is currently hosted by Wikia, Inc. However, there is more advertising than content on Wikia Travel now and content writing activity there is very little. It may have stagnated. (statistics and recent changes)

While there is clearly some overlap, there seems to be an ongoing conversation regarding the nature/goal of World Wiki (is it about "travel" or about "places") [1], but there are clearly going to be overlaps as well as differences that may allow cooperation.

Wikia Travel and Wikivoyage both use the same CC-BY-SA licence, so it should be possible to copy information between the two if it is properly attributed.
