Template editors are Wikivoyagers with the ability to edit templates and modules that have been protected with the "protected template" protection level, usually due to a high transclusion count (usage in large number of pages) e.g. the main page.

If you want to become a template editor, ask any administrator; if you're trustworthy and have some Wikivoyage experience, your request will be granted. As with patrollers, no nomination process is necessary to become a template editor.

Template editors also have the ability to enable 2FA locally on the English Wikivoyage.
