[edit]Wollombi is 29 km south-west of Cessnock on Wollombi Road and around 40km north of Calga. A very pleasant route, through picturesque rural countryside. Additionally, there's no other forms of transport to Wollombi. Only car.
Get around
[edit]The village centre is very small and easy to walk around.
See
[edit]- Heritage buildings, including the school building (c1881) and the general store.
- Former Courthouse. The former courthouse was built in 1866 and is now a small historical museum. $2.
- Koolang Observatory, ☏ +61 2 4998 8216. Noon-5PM (and most nights).
- 1 Mount Yengo. Mountain of great Aboriginal significance.
Do

[edit]- Margan Winery. Hosting the Beltree restaurant which is definitely worth a lazy Saturday or Sunday meal. Coupled with the wine produced at the Vineyard, this is a must try on the Hunter circuit
