Yesan-gun is a county in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. It is a richly agricultural inland region, particularly famous for its high-quality produce, such as Yesan apples and scallions. The county is also known for its well-preserved historical sites and beautiful natural scenery, and offers a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Yesan is on the Janghang Line. Travel times to Yesan Station:

Yesan County is served by six stations on the Janghang Line: Sinchang (shared with Seoul Subway Line 1), Hongseong, Sapgyo, Hanam, Yesan, and Ungcheon.

Yesan County is served by the Janghang Line, a major KORAIL train line connecting cities in the Chungcheong and Jeolla provinces. The main train station is in Yesan-eup, and it is a key transportation hub for the region.

Express Bus Terminal
  • 4 Yesan Bus Terminal (예산종합터미널), 935 Yesan-ri, Yesan-eup. A central hub for transportation, offering convenient intercity and express bus travel to various parts of the country. It provides excellent connections to major cities like Seoul, Daejeon, and Cheonan. For the Seoul Metropolitan Area, express buses run daily to the Gangnam Express Bus Terminal, with a travel time of about 1 hour and 40 minutes. There are also well-established intercity bus routes that connect Yesan to other key cities in the area, including Incheon, Seongnam, Ansan, and Suwon. Within the Chungcheong Region, frequent buses operate to nearby cities like Cheonan, Daejeon, Hongseong, Dangjin, and Asan. These routes also stop at smaller terminals within Yesan County, making them very convenient for local residents. Additionally, express bus routes to Busan and Gwangju are available, making travel to more distant regions possible. The terminal is equipped with a waiting area, ticket counter, convenience store, and a restaurant. A taxi stand is directly in front of the terminal for easy transfers to other local transportation. The bus system in Yesan-gun operates with local buses that connect various areas, primarily centered around the Yesan General Bus Terminal. Most bus routes start or end at the terminal, while some routes also depart from the Ssangsongbaegi area near the north gate of Yesan Market.

Most major bus stops have well-maintained bus timetables, and some are equipped with amenities like heating/cooling systems or heated benches. However, there are not many English announcements or signs for tourists, so it's a good idea to confirm your route number and destination in advance.
