  • Plaça de la Vila is the main square north of the church.
  • 2 Castillo de Alaró (Drive to Es Verger then hike). Daily 09:00-21:00. Shell of a castle built by the Moors from 902 AD after they captured Mallorca, and in use until 1741. A hermitage was added alongside in 1622. Free. OSM directions Google Maps directions
  • Talaiots are prehistoric village ruins. There are dozens across the island but most have had their stone re-purposed and their sites ploughed over. Those around Alaró aren't worth seeking out but there's a better-preserved example at Son Fred 3 km south of Inca.
  • 3 Binissalem is another small town further down the valley, centred on the church of Nostra Senyora de Robines, built in 1908.
