Alto Alentejo (AHL-too uh-lehn-TAY-zhoo, /ˈaɫ.tu ɐ.ɫẽ.ˈtɐj.ʒu/)

• Comboios de Portugal (CP) provides intercity rail service on the Linha do Alentejo line from Lisbon to Évora. Regional trains run once daily on the Linha do Leste line from Entroncamento and Badajoz (Spain) to Portalegre and Elvas.
• Rede Expressos^{[dead link]} offers long-distance intercity bus service from throughout the country to Évora, Portalegre, and many other cities in the region.
