Fengdu is a county in Chongqing Municipality.

[edit]Fengdu's county seat is a river town on the banks of the Yangtze (Chang Jiang) River, about two hours by bus or one hour by train from Chongqing City.

By train
[edit]Trains to Fengdu from central Chongqing mostly depart from Chongqing North Railway Station.
There is one railway station in Fengdu:
- 1 Fengdu Railway Station (丰都站), Yingbin Avenue (迎宾路) (bus nos. 201, 202 and 204).
A second railway station, which will be named Fengdu North Railway Station, is under construction and will be opened in 2027 as part of the new Chongqing-Wanzhou line.
By bus
[edit]Bus services from central Chongqing are provided via the Chaotianmen Bus Station, the Sigongli Transport Hub and several other bus stations. There are also buses to Fengdu from other parts of the municipality such as Fuling and Wulong.
There is one long-distance bus station in Fengdu:

Across the river from the main town is the Ghost Town which can be reached by ferry. Highlights include the authentic Buddhist temple on Mt. The lake is situated at between 1400 and 2000 meters above sea level. For this reason, it has a cool climate and is a popular spot for getting away from the heat in the summer and engaging in snow sports during the winter.
