[edit]The most practical way to get around the settlements is by driving. Kinnekulle is a gratifying location for hiking.

- 1 Götene church (Götene). Contains a relic of Helena of Skövde.
- 2 Falkängen. Worker quarters from the 19th century.
- 3 Flyhov. A rock carving (hällristning) from the Bronze Age, around 1,000 BC.
- 4 Kinnekulle. The view over Vänern, the largest lake of Europe outside Russia, is spectacular from the mountain top.
- 5 Husaby kyrka. Has one of the oldest and most remarkable churches in Sweden, built about 1090-1130. Near the church is a spring where the king was baptized in year 1008, the breakthrough of the christianization of Sweden.
- 6 Källby runestones. A collection of Iron Age artifacts. The older runestone is pagan; the younger one is Christian.
- 7 Skälvum Church.
- 8 Tredingstenarna.
- 9 Råbäck Stonemasonry.
- 10 Aranäs. A medieval castle ruin.
- 11 Sigrid Storråda. A Viking ship built after a real one found in Norway. It offers public trips a couple of times every summer, and can also be chartered.
