[edit]Harjavalta is an industrial town with about 6700 inhabitants along the Kokemäki river, Highway 2 and the Tampere-Pori railway.

[edit]The town is next to Highway 2 connecting Helsinki and Pori. Highway 43 comes in from the south (Eura, Laitila and Uusikaupunki).
By train
[edit]Trains between Pori and Tampere stop at Harjavalta.
By bus
[edit]There are buses from Helsinki, Pori, Rauma and Turku, stopping at intermediate towns.
