    Get in and around

    [edit]

Despite being in the southern part of Finland, Satakunta is not as well connected as the neighbouring provinces. There are direct flights daily to Pori from Helsinki, but all train lines go via Tampere, where you need to transfer. Hence, the transportation of choice should definitely be a coach – there are coaches along national road 8, as well as services to Pori and Rauma from Helsinki and Tampere. The nearest airports with international service are Tampere, Turku, Helsinki and Vaasa.

For coaches, see Matkahuolto. For short-haul connections, see also the city articles.

    For trains, see VR.

This region travel guide to Satakunta is an outline and may need more content. It has a template, but there is not enough information present. If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here. Please plunge forward and help it grow!
