Hintertux im Zillertal is a ski resort in the Tuxer Valley of Northeast Tyrol, Austria. With a beautiful glacier (Hintertuxer Gletscher), skiing is possible 365 days a year.

[edit]Take the Inntal motorway (A12) – Exit at Zillertal, through road (B169) to Mayrhofen. Continue on the Tuxer Landesstrasse towards Hintertux.
Use wheel chains when there is snow and ice!

- 3 Spannagel Cave (Spannagelhöhle). A 10-km-long cave system, at an elevation of 2,686 m the highest cave in Europe. It is one of the rare large caves in the Alps, since the crystalline rock isn't favourable for cave formation. The first 500 m of the cave can be visited by guided tour only, there is also a museum inside one of the chambers as well as a gift shop.
- 4 Schlegeisspeicher (accessible via mountain road with toll). A water reservoir/dam tucked between mountains that are over 3,200 m (10,500 ft) tall.
