    Holmes Chapel, until 1974 known as Church Holme, is a village in Cheshire. It's only five miles west of the frontier of the known universe, thanks to Jodrell Bank radio telescope. With a population of 6000, Holmes Chapel is mainly a commuter town for the galaxy known as Greater Manchester.

    • Dane Meadow (footpath running from Moreton Drive to the A50 by the bridge at Cranage), . Dane Meadow is a 7-hectare area of land to the north of Holmes Chapel within the Dane Valley. It is a natural environment for walking dogs and casual walkers. The roadway provides access for disabled vehicles and a limited parking area near the river.
