[edit]Knutsford is situated very close to J19 on the M6, it even has a set of services named after it. From Manchester head south join the M56 and leave at Junction 7.
By coach
[edit]As of 2022, Knutsford is not served by coach services, There are however limited local bus connections to Wilmslow, Macclesfield & Northwich.
By train
[edit]Trains run hourly from Manchester Piccadilly, taking 45 min via Stockport, Altrincham and Hale, and continuing via Northwich to Chester. An off-peak single from Piccadilly in 2022 costs £7.30.
1 Knutsford station is central in town. It has a staffed ticket office and machines, but no toilets, cafe or waiting room. There is level access via the street to both platforms.
By plane
[edit]Knutsford is close to Manchester Airport, 15 minutes by car. It will cost about £20-25 in a taxi.
Get around
[edit]Princess Street (also known locally as Top Street) and King Street (also known as Bottom Street) form the core of the town centre. At one end of King Street is an entrance to the historic Tatton Park estate.
The best way to get around in Knutsford is on foot, The bus station is by Booth's Supermarket.

Tatton Park is one of the UK's most complete historic estates. It is home to a Tudor Old Hall, Neo-Classical Mansion, 50 acres of landscaped gardens, a rare-breed farm and 1000 acres of deer park. A joint Cheshire East Council and NT property. NT Members still have to pay for parking. A substantial deer park, Tatton Park contains a petting zoo with farm animals and a Children's play area in addition and a major lake (mere) with sailing and fishing. Tatton Park is also home to an annual Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) flower show (usually in late July) and plays host to a series of summer evening concerts each year, which vary from classical to pop. Speciality shops, restaurant, tea room, adventure playground, events and educational programmes. There is no charge for walking into the park from the town centre.

There are a couple of reasonable tea shops. Try Mallard on Princess Street and the Penny Farthing in a pleasant courtyard off King Street.
Mobberley is a village just outside Knutsford.

Go next
[edit]Knutsford is surrounded by small villages and countryside. A cycle or drive out to one of these villages for a walk and trip to country pub can be very rewarding.
