    Understand

    [edit]

Kent is quite upscale, with many large, tasteful mansions and estates on its outskirts. There are many quite old (18th- and early 19th-century), well-kept houses to see. On weekends, many people come by car and motorcycle from the New York City metropolitan area, significantly increasing vehicle and foot traffic in town.

    By car

    [edit]

US Route 7 is the major north-south route that goes through the center of town, intersecting with State Route 341, which goes on a meandering path from east to northwest, enabling access from the Metro North train at Wassaic, New York.

    By train

    [edit]

The former train station at Kent has not functioned for a long time. However, the Metro North station at Wassaic, New York enables access from New York City. From Wassaic, you need to take a cab, rent a car, or get someone to pick you up.
