Kyyjärvi is a small rural municipality that is about 120 km northwest of Jyväskylä. The municipality gets its name from the Lake Kyyjärvi, on the southwest shore of which the municipal centre is located.

[edit | edit source]The main routes in Kyyjärvi are Highway 13 (between Jyväskylä and Kokkola, via Saarijärvi and Kaustinen) and Highway 16 (from Ylistaro between Vaasa and Seinäjoki, via Lapua).
