The closest train station is in Nagykanizsa. From Budapest-Déli pályaudvar, you can travel by train to Nagykanizsa train station, then transfer to the local bus 18 towards the bus station, then transfer again to regional buses towards Letenye. The whole journey from Budapest to Letenye takes 4.5 hours and costs 5020 Ft.

Frequent buses are available from Nagykanizsa. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs 465 Ft. From Budapest-Népliget, you have to transfer in Nagykanizsa. The whole journey from Budapest takes 4 hours and costs 4405 Ft.

There is no local public transport or taxi service. You can use the regional buses operated by Volánbusz.

Csömödér State Forest Railway (Csömödéri Állami Erdei Vasút) operates narrow-gauge trains between Lenti and Kistolmács. The trains are operated only between April 21 and September 29 from Monday to Saturday. The ticket costs for adult: 300 Ft–1400 Ft; for student, senior: 250 Ft–900 Ft (depending on the distance).
