Nanchuan is a district of Chongqing Municipality outside the central urban area. The main visitor attraction is Jinfo Mountain.

[edit]- 1 Nanchuan North Railway Station (南川北站), Beigu Road (北固路) (bus nos. 108 and 111). Nanchuan’s only railway station. Trains to Nanchuan from central Chongqing depart from Chongqing East Railway Station.
By bus
[edit]Buses to Nanchuan depart from multiple bus stations in central Chongqing, including the airport bus station.
There are two main bus stations in Nanchuan:

- 2 Yinzi Memorial Hall Cultural Park (尹子祠文化公园), Yinzi North Road, Xicheng Subdistrict (西城街道尹子北路) (take bus no. 110 or 201). Park dedicated to the memory of Yin Zhen, a famous scholar who propagated Confucian ideas in Nanchuan during the Eastern Han Dynasty. Besides the memorial, one can also visit the Haihe Academy, a Confucian academy that was built here in the late Qing Dynasty. Free.

[edit]Nanchuan Rice Noodles are made with local selenium-rich rice and cooked with strontium-rich spring water from Jinfo Mountain. They are cooked in a spicy and savory broth, offering a chewy and springy texture.
