- 2 Kyrenia, the old centre is dominated by the castle built by the Venetians in 1540.
- 3 Limassol, the old town is full of historic houses, both from the Ottoman period and the British colonial period.
- 4 Nicosia, with well preserved town walls, which cross over into North Nicosia.
