Ostabat-Asme is a village in Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

Ostabat-Asme is a starting or meeting point for the traditional Way of St. James, a route for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela.

Some of the routes to Santiago de Compostela join here: one comes from Paris via Tours, Poitiers and Bordeaux, one from the valley of the Rhone via Le Puy-en-Velay (this is the GR 65 route).

The last 22 km of the route from Le Puy-en-Velay (Chemin du Puy), from Aroue, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France.

The village is tiny. Get around on foot, as pilgrims have for centuries.
