    Pigeon Lake is rural area composed of more than a dozen small villages surrounding the lake of the same name, located in the Central Corridor region of Alberta, Canada.

    Pigeon Lake is one of the most intensely used recreational areas in Alberta, with 10 summer villages, 4 unincorporated communities, and numerous private cottages along its shores. The lake has a total area of 96.7 km2 (37.3 sq mi) and a maximum depth of 9.1 m (30 ft). The Pigeon Lake area does not have a significant urban area; however Wetaskiwin and Leduc are both about 30-45 minutes away.

    Get in

    Pigeon Lake is about 1 hour southwest of Edmonton via Highway 2; take Highway 616 (exit 497) to access the north shore or Highway 13 (exit 482) to access the south shore.

    Get around

    The lake and its communities are accessed along Highway 13 on the south side, Highway 771 on the west side, Highway 616 on the north side, and Highway 780 on the east side.
