Selby is a small town in in South Dakota's Great Lakes region.

[edit]Selby was established with the arrival of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad to the area in 1899. The town was named for a railroad official. The Selby area is known for pheasant hunting, walleye fishing on nearby Lake Oahe, and other outdoor recreation.
