- 4 Ybycuí National Park. – Popular for its waterfalls, and also features a historic area and museum about the time when the place was used for metal production using a melting furnace. Fauna-wise it features guatambú, black laurel, cancharana, cedar and rosewood.

- Cerro Koi near Areguá are exceptional rock formations from volcanic activity. In addition, it has a good view of the town and lake Ypacaraí.
- The (Old) Railway Station in Patiño near Areguá
- Basílica Menor Nuestra Señora de los Milagros de Caacupé in Caacupé.
- Parroquia Virgen del Rosario in Itauguá
- Laguna de Itá near Itauguá features picturesque crocodiles.
- The Templo de San Buenaventure, in the city of Yaguarón, is an impressive church with picturesque wooden interior of baroque style.
- 1 Salto Cristal (Regular buses leave from 11 Carapeguá going by 12 La Colmena to the entrance of the trail to the waterfall, ask the locals. To Carapeguá, there are hourly buses for around GS.20,000 from Asunción.). A beautiful waterfall in the jungle. Private ground: GS.20,000.
Do
[edit]- Yaguarón Hill, near the city of Yaguarón, has a unique history and many legends. The most famous belief is that of the footprints of Saint Thomas. It also tells of the tears of Kerana, steep slopes, and very tall trees, offering places to climb and a view of the incredible city. Cerro Yaguarón has a free-access viewpoint for tourists at the top.
