Since this article and Amlan (Negros Oriental) have had no useful information added during their 18-month existence, shall we merge them into Dumaguete so they don't sit here as annoyances to readers? See earlier discussion at Talk:Dumaguete#Merge_in_nearby_towns.3F and Talk:Sibulan. I made those mergers but consider the ones suggested here dubious. These towns are quite a distance from Duma and not speck-on-the-map tiny. Both have some beach resorts and restaurants, and listing those in the Duma article would clutter it.

If we do decide to redirect, I'd want to merge them into the province article, Negros Oriental, rather than Dumaguete. Pashley (talk) 19:25, 21 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Living in Duma, I knew someone working in San Jose who came into town several times a week for beer. When the city shut off power for a day, a bunch of us went out to a resort in Amlan for the afternoon; my Duma expat friends apparently did that regularly. Both have now been merged, but as mentioned above "They can be recreated when..." Eventually, they should be; both are towns of over 20,000 with several beach resorts. Pashley (talk) 03:50, 22 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
