Safari listing

[edit]

Hi, DocWoKav. Re: this listing, is their office in Nairobi? If so, please specify their street address and other contact info (phone number, email). Until I noticed that you had added the listing, I was going to revert the edit as touting, because a mere name, url and list of countries comes off as promotional. It would be helpful to specify some kinds of safaris they offer.

Thanks and all my best to you,

done as you proposed. Regards --DocWoKav (talk) 10:50, 5 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Greek phrasebook

[edit]

Hi there. Apologies if this isn't relevant to you, but you're the only regular Wikivoyager I know of who might speak Greek. Would you mind quickly checking this edit for accuracy? The same user has edited multiple phrasebooks over a short space of time, making errors on several, and I'm not convinced they speak all of those languages. Thanks in advance and all the best, ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 17:55, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

These sentences are correct in Greek. It is very difficult to write Greek correctly, even for Greeks. The spelling comes from ancient Greek, but the pronunciation is modern Greek. Therefore even a lot of Greeks write with a lot of mistakes. Best regards --DocWoKav (talk) 07:13, 27 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Via Militaris

[edit]

In case you become active in this branch of Wikivoyage again, are you interested in making a Via Militaris itinerary similar to Via Egnatia and Via Pontica? Daggerstab (talk) 11:17, 26 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Temporary account IP viewer

[edit]

Hello, DocWoKav.

A recent change now means that all IP addresses are no longer visible to most ordinary users. However, as per WMF policy, any user who has made at least 300 edits with an account older than 6 months may request the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) permission to view IP addresses of all temporary accounts for up to 90 days. You are receiving this mass message because your account is autopatrolled, or has patroller and/or template editor permissions, and have over 300 edits, and thus are likely eligible to request this permission.

Guidelines surrounding the use of the tool can be found at Wikivoyage:Temporary account IP viewer; if granted, you must also accept the WMF policy in your preferences.

TAIV permissions can be requested at Wikivoyage:Temporary account IP viewer/Requests, or on any admin's talk page.
