Stub articles
[edit]Hey PhilDaBirdMan, I have noticed that you have created a bunch of stub (or skeleton) articles with little or no content, like Hallein, Wheeling (Illinois), Mount Prospect, Batavia (Illinois), St. Charles (Illinois), and Riverwoods.
Please don't create any more stubs until you have added content to these articles. If you are not planning to turn these into travel articles, please let me know so that I can redirect them to their region article. As Wikivoyage:What is an article? states, under "What does not get its own article?",
- Tiny or sparsely populated villages and hamlets that have no cultural or natural attractions, or hospitality venues. Their names can be redirected to a nearby or surrounding community, or a group of such communities can be covered in a single article (like Rural Montgomery County or Surinamese Rainforest).

- I’m not too familiar with Hallein, but there is a German article on it, which someone who knows German could translate to. The rest I’m working on and adding content to. Just because the article is empty now doesn’t mean it’ll stay empty. PhilDaBirdMan (talk) 11:22, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for working on the other articles, but please only create articles for places if you plan to add some content. You have also been upgrading some stub articles to outlines, which I don't understand. If you create an article that has no content except a template, it's not doing anything for anyone on the site, and reclassifying it from stub to outline doesn't correct the problem. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 13:35, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- They were uncategorized. Outline ≠ usable PhilDaBirdMan (talk) 16:22, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- They're not even outlines. Wulaofeng National Park literally doesn't have a single sentence other than "City name is in Region name." which, without even the correct information being substituted, doesn't count as a lead to me. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 16:29, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- I didn’t make the article. PhilDaBirdMan (talk) 01:55, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
- I know, but you upgraded its status. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 03:42, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
- Apparently wulaofeng is either a peak in some other national park or a city park in some random city that has no article. PhilDaBirdMan (talk) 11:42, 30 September 2025 (UTC)

I deleted the page. If the article creator knows nothing about it, and we know nothing about it, it doesn't belong here. If someone wants to recreate the article with travel content, they can do so. Ground Zero (talk) 13:16, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
