One small point: Please avoid curly brackets {{. When you put something in double curly brackets, Wiki language thinks you're referring to a template. I think you're looking for parentheses ((.
Please ask any question you like. Also, look through the manual of style and related links at your leisure.
Thanks! This is my first time and very exciting. I thought I was linking it to the"descriptive page" of the word.
Much appreciated.Pukit (talk) 05:18, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
I meant a word that was another location (ie Santo Domingo) that either had or did not yet have (shows in red) its own page. Quick question. Is there a way to upload a photo from an IPad ? If you could tell me the best way to upload a photo ,I would appreciate it. I have a very nice photo of Bahia de las Aguilas.
Please be patient with me. I am new to this, but a fast learner. I have travelled extensively in my 50 years of life and expect to add a few other off the beaten track locations. I will fill out my user page soon. You are a New Yorker like me?
Yes, I am a New Yorker. I've never actually uploaded any of my own photos, but have a look at the directions here: [1]. Once you've uploaded a photo, you can link to by putting a filename like this in double square brackets: File:DomRep Bacardi Insel.jpg. However, you'll want to link the file as a thumbnail, so that it doesn't take up too much of the page. Have a look at this: File:DomRep Bacardi Insel.jpg|thumb|500px|Bacardi Island. And now, with double square brackets [] on both sides of it: Bacardi Island.
I hope this helps and look forward to seeing your photos! Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:07, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
Yes thanks. I had managed to figured it out . Uploaded photo to wikimedia and then used the naming format and thumb.
Thanks!
