- 2 Bojnice — Probably the most beautiful castle in Slovakia.

[edit]- 1 Bike around Danube. Long bike/rollerblade path along the Danube river goes for kilometers
Mountain ranges / national parks:
- 2 Little Carpathians. Small mountains continuing into Austria, many hiking/cycling trails present. Also skiing is possible (Pezinská Baba).
- 3 Strážov Mountains (Strážovské vrchy). One of the largest mountain ranges in the Fatra-Tatra area of Slovakia. Relatively non-crowded and demanding hikes, often with >500m ascends. The more popular peaks Vápeč and Strážov provide good views.
- 4 Vtáčnik. A small mountain range.
- 5 White Carpathians. The mountain continues into Czech Republic
