[edit]- 1 Parish Church of Santa Eulàlia (Santa Eulàlia de Berga), Pl. de Sant Pere. It consists of a single nave with side chapels. The parish church was originally located in the castle, but was destroyed in 1655 by the French. The current building was then built, occupying the space of the old Romanesque church of Sant Pere de Cohorts. For this reason, the parish church of Berga is also known by the name of Sant Pere. The church was built on 16/01/1686 by the master builder Josep Moratí i Pujol
- 2 Church of Sant Joan de Berga,. of Romanesque origins (13th century) and much renovated in the Gothic period (15th century) and in the 18th century. Since 1983 it has been a historical and artistic monument.
- 3 Palace of the Peguera. which was the residence of the Peguera family, lords of Berga. Nothing remains of its Romanesque origins and the current building probably dates from the 14th century, with modifications in the 18th century.[12] During the French War, the Baron of Maldà lived there. ,
- 4 Torre de la Petita. on the Serra de la Petita, built in the 19th century (1838) in the midst of Carlist domination. Due to its strategic location, it was an important watchtower and defense tower. Demilitarized since 1868, it is one of the few military buildings from the Carlist period that still remain standing. ,
- 5 Plaça de Sant Pere. its medieval origin is related to the construction of the old Romanesque church of Sant Pere, demolished in the 18th century to build the new one of Santa Eulàlia. It is the central space of the Patum festivities.
- 6 Town Hall. in Plaça de Sant Pere. It was designed by the architect Emili Porta in 1929 with a historicist façade of monumental intent.
- 7 Cal Sarraís. a building from 1740.
- 8 Portal de Santa Magdalena. the only medieval gate that is preserved of the seven that the city had.
- 9 Chapel of La Pietat. from the 17th century, It presents some elements considered to be pre-Romanesque, although the structure corresponds to the 12th century. It is documented that the workers who worked on the site later did so in Santa Maria d'Avià, also in the 12th century. A century later the chapel was run by Mercedarian friars who later moved to the convent of Santa Magdalena and then to Sant Joan. It was the parish of Berga until 1277, while the one of Santa Eulàlia was being built. In 1665 it was the subject of a Baroque restoration
- 10 Molí de la Sal. from the 18th century. It preserves the chapels dedicated to the Virgin Mary dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, built into the facades.
- 11 Sanctuary of the Mare de Déu de Queralt. from the 18th century (image of the Virgin from the 14th century). Legend: A shepherd from the Vilaformiu farmhouse (belonging to the Altarriba family) was grazing his oxen on the peaks of the Queralt mountain, when suddenly one of these animals leaves the herd and climbs hurriedly halfway up the cliff. The shepherd runs after him to bring him back to the herd, but when he reached the place where the ox had stopped, he was very surprised to see the ox kneeling in front of a small image of the Virgin Mary, half hidden in a skein, next to a cherry tree that had miraculously blossomed -out of time-. The devout shepherd kneels and takes the image and puts it in his sack and, jumping with joy, returns to Vilaformiu to show the find. In front of everyone in the house, he opens the sack and... the image was not there. The shepherd does not lose hope, the next day he returns, finds the image in the same place, takes it and this time ties the sack. Arriving at Vilaformiu, he uncorked it and the incident was repeated as the day before. Then the shepherd no longer trusted him alone. With his owners and other people from the farm, they climbed to the top and were amazed to see that the shepherd had not deceived them. Then they understood that the Virgin wanted to be venerated precisely in this place, and they built a chapel for her there. The original chapel was built where the winery is today, in the building attached to the church. , .
- 12 Sant Quirze de Pedret. from the 9th century. Although it is located in the municipality of Cercs, in 1959 it was ceded, after an agreement, by the bishopric of Solsona to the city council of Berga for its restoration and conservation. Religious worship is only held there on the day of its annual feast and it depends on the parish of Berga. ,
- 13 Sant Francesc de Berga. is the church of an old convent of Franciscan friars. It dates from the 14th century. In 1245 the first monastery of the Friars Minor of Berga was founded but it did not succeed until 1330 thanks to royal protection. The works began in 1333 next to the town wall, outside the walls. It was remodeled in the 17th and 18th centuries and a new door was opened in the east wall that cancelled the head and the interior was decorated with Baroque altarpieces. The civil war (1936-1939) affected the building so much that it had to be demolished. Later the current building was built in a very poor neo-Gothic style. .
