Guinobatan is a landlocked municipality in the province of Albay, adjacent to the city of Ligao and alongside the Asian Highway 26. It is one of the five municipalities that has a jurisdiction over the foothills of Mayon Volcano.

[edit]The town is known as the birth place of General Simeón Ola y Arboleda, the last Filipino General to surrender to the American forces. It is dubbed as the Sparkling Gem of Bicol due to its vibrant culture and annual festivities.
