Cagsawa Ruins

Daraga is a landlocked municipality in the province of Albay and is adjacent to Legazpi, the capital city. It hosts the Bicol International Airport and is known for the Cagsawa Ruins.

Understand

[edit]

Daraga's name came from a Bikol word for maiden and thus came from the legend of Daragang Magayon, a beautiful maiden where the Mayon Volcano's name was taken.
