[edit]- Washington Highway 525 from I-5 & I-405 Mukilteo Speedway approaches from the I-5/I-405 junction (exit 182 of I-5) in Lynnwood into the ferry terminal. It continues north from the Clinton Ferry Terminal (at other side) towards Oak Harbor via Coupeville in Whidbey Island.
- Washington Highway 526 from I-5 Boeing Freeway comes across the northend of Paine Field from exit 189 of I-5. As the road curves south into Paine Field Blvd go west 84th St W towards Mukilteo Speedway (SR-525).
- W Mukilteo Blvd winds its way up into Everett (south of downtown) where it becomes 41st St. It is not designated as a state or US Highway.
By ferry

By train
[edit]- Sound Transit, toll-free: +1-888-889-6368. Has regional public transit routes including Sounder trains, Link light rail, and express bus in King County (e.g. Bellevue, Federal Way, Kent, Renton, Seattle), Snohomish County (e.g. Everett, Lynnwood), and Pierce County (e.g. Puyallup, Tacoma).
- 2 Sounder train. A weekday commuter train between Everett and Seattle King Street Station via Edmonds and Mukilteo.
By plane
[edit]- 3 Paine Field (PAE IATA, also known as Snohomish County Airport) (about 8.5 miles south of Everett). Limited commercial flights are with Alaska Airlines'. Other airlines may follow suit in time as the terminal expands. Everett Transit (Rt #8) provides service to a transit hub at Seaway Transit Center and the downtown Everett Station, where buses to the region can be found.
The next nearest airport for more commercial flights with a wider array of airlines is at 4 Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA IATA, "Sea-Tac" for short) 45 mi (72 km) south of Mukilteo, which serves much of the greater Seattle Metropolitan area and the Pacific Northwest.
Get around
[edit]5 Mukilteo Station is the transit hub in Mukilteo. It is in the parking lot next to the ferry terminal, and is the terminus for routes operated by Community Transit and Everett Transit.
- Community Transit, ☏ +1 425-353-7433, toll-free: +1-800-562-1375. Operates local and regional public transit bus routes in Snohomish County, except only local routes in Everett. Communities within the county served by this operator's routes include Arlington, Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville, Mill Creek, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Snohomish, and Stanwood. The following routes terminate at the Mukilteo Station:
- Bus route 103 is a local route that replaces the former route 113 from Mukilteo Speedway and 84th SW, through different streets in Mukilteo and Lynnwood, to Lynnwood City Center Station. It connects Lynnwood City Center Station to Seaway Transit Center in South Everett instead. It no longer serves the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal.
- Bus route 117 Connects the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal to Lynnwood City Center Station via Mukilteo Speedway. Passengers transfer to Link Light Rail 1 line or ST 515 (weekday peak hours) to continue towards Seattle-Tacoma International Airport via Downtown Seattle. This replaces a section of the former #417 route between Lynnwood and Mukilteo.
- Everett Transit, ☏ +1 425-257-7777. Operates buses within the city of Everett.
- Bus route 18 travels between Everett Station and Mukilteo Station via Seaway Transit Center.
