Warning box
[edit]I understand the need for it, but given that it only affects a small part of the country, wouldn't it be better placed in Ecuador#Stay safe instead? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 11:42, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Good suggestion. I've moved it. Ground Zero (talk) 13:02, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

- Hello all, since the above discussion, Ecuador entered a state of civil war, and the U.S. Department of State has advised against travel to large swathes of the country. I believe that this warningbox should be at the top of the article following these developments. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 01:35, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- I think it's still better to keep it in stay safe – the Canadian and Australian travel advisories still advise to just exercise a high degree of caution, while the NZ travel advisory advises for general increased caution. Even the US advisory also now advises increased caution, with the do not travel areas seemingly consistently affected by violent crime. --SHB (t | c | m) 12:30, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
