Phone format

- The extension ("local" in Philippine English). The telephone number is the trunk line for the entire airport, so to access a particular place in the airport through the trunk line, you would have to enter the extension. I'll gladly change it to extension if need be.

- Thanks for the explanation, Sky Harbor. I've never been to the Philippines, but my very old friend, Alice, tells me the people are some of the friendliest and most polite anywhere on the planet. I'm contemplating taking a round the world trip in October maybe to escape the dreek Glasgow winter, so maybe I'll get to sample the "worst airport in Asia", eh? - It's her word against mine (okay, not really), but I do understand her apprehensions over the airport. I don't like NAIA as much as the next guy, but I think this whole "worst airport in the world" idea has been blown way out of proportion. While yes, the airport is no Changi, Suvarnabhumi or Chek Lap Kok, the airport is certainly not some run-down, rinky-dink pigsty either.
- I live in a suburb of Manila (Quezon City), and I would liken it to a place between a more chaotic Bangkok and a somewhat more orderly Jakarta. Depending on what you want to see and do, I'll be glad to make some recommendations for you. :) --Sky Harbor (talk) 03:03, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Construction
[edit]An infobox in the Ninoy_Aquino_International_Airport#Ground_transportation section says expressway construction is "scheduled to last until 2015." Is this now complete? Can we remove the infobox? Or do we know enough to update the box text? Pashley (talk) 13:58, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
Scams
[edit]@Pashley: There has been the bullet-planting scam that occurred in 2015, but a new scam have just appeared, where immigration officers will tell you that you cannot leave because of a hold departure order, which is rather bogus, and you will be brought to security, where the officers will extort money in exchange of your freedom. A foreigner (American) has been entangled in the former, but I don't know whether foreigners are targetted by immigration officers. That's all what I know, but there are other scams other than those. Wifi
[edit]Wifi is no longer unlimited, at least in terminal 3. The SSID is no longer GlobeFreeWiFi@NAIA, but rather is split between NewNAIAFreeWifiByConverge and NewNAIAFreeWiFiByPLDT. The "Converge" wifi is wifi 6 capable, while the "PLDT" wifi is not. Both are time limited, and will not allow a user to reconnect and block a user from reconnecting after the time limit has expired for the day. The "Converge" wifi functions for 3 hours, as stated when using the login/terms of service agreement page. Both require a user to use a login page and click a check box to agree to terms of service.
This comment applies to terminal 3. I have not extensively tested this, or talked about this with an employee or another passenger. This is only what I witnessed while going through the aiport today.
