Talk:Three days in Singapore Voyage Tips and guide

So, my apologies to the anonymous contributor, but I'm going to have to remove Newton Circus from this itinerary for the following reasons:

    • It's not along the Riverside like the rest of the attractions of Day 1's evening.
    • $80 for a hawker meal is an insane price by Singapore standards.
    • The touts at Newton are really annoying.
    • Kang kong is usually served with sambal, not oyster sauce, which is used for kailan.

Newton is already listed in the main Singapore article and Singapore/Balestier. (WT-en) Jpatokal 07:23, 30 October 2006 (EST)

I'm a Singaporean, and I think that this itinerary is pretty comprehensive! Good job!

    SGD/US

    [edit]

From the introduction: "Please clarify in all cases as to whether you are talking about US dollars or Singapore dollars. "

Naturally all prices should be in SGD. Why not just remove all prices quoted in USD and the above sentence?

On the front page of this article is a suggestion it should be merged into the Singapore article. viz Wikivoyage:Itineraries

In view of the three days itinerary idea being deprecated into localities, is there anything in this article worth moving over to the singapore article? sats (talk) 08:23, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

The discussion on deprecating iteneraries specifically called this one out as an exception that should stay, since it has tightly-defined routes and even maps for them. I'm thus removing the tag. Jpatokal (talk) 05:40, 9 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

    Chinatown Heritage Centre

    [edit]

is currently closed for renovation, wondering if we should suggest something else in the itinerary instead. We went to the Tintin shop, but that's only because my son is a big Tintin fan. Ravikiran (talk) 05:59, 30 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wasn't going to recommend a change since it was reaching the end of renovations. I would highly recommend the Singapore City Gallery in its place, although not a like for like replacement. -- torty3 (talk) 12:37, 11 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
