User talk:ControlCorV Voyage Tips and guide

You can check the original Wikivoyage article Here

    Hello, ControlCorV! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

About the budding edit war on the Colombia article: Please lay out your argument at Talk:Colombia, so that we can try to reach a consensus on a fair wording. Until then, please don't reinstate the wording you want, because edit wars are unproductive or worse.

    All the best,

    Hi ControlCorV, welcome aboard!

If you wish to continue editing on Wikivoyage, I would strongly advise you to avoid edits of this nature (and the nine or so near-identical edits on other articles), especially if you're going to imply User:AndreCarrotflower somehow authorised you to make them, which I can see isn't true.

Wikivoyage is a collaborative project; it only works when we co-operate with one another to overcome any disagreements we may have. This means not making sweeping edits to multiple articles just to prove a point. If you feel strongly about the edits you wish to make, you need to raise it as an issue on the talk pages of each of the articles you want changed, explain your position and try to reach a consensus among other Wikivoyagers. You should not be trying to engage me or any other Wikivoyager in an edit war, as you appear to be doing now.

Myself and fellow Wikivoyagers want to welcome you as part of our team; we can really use new and enthusiastic editors such as yourself. But I have to tell you, if you decide to ignore this message and carry on behaving as you are doing, the chances are you will be banned from editing within a couple of days. We don't want that to happen, but it's your choice.

    Let's work together?

Very best wishes, --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 06:12, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

ThunderingTyphoons! Therefore, I start a discussion on the topic. Although on the website seems that any edition is object of polemic.--ControlCorV (talk) 08:43, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

ThunderingTyphoons! I do not understand why in this website any minor edition is controversial. Why the people on this site seem to have the need to enter into polemics with any new user? --ControlCorV (talk) 08:48, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

OK, let's try this again: You are welcome to start a discussion, but if you keep reiterating your point over and over again in an angry, personal way, the best response is for everyone to ignore you. And that's the last comment I ever intend to make to you, if you continue your current mode of behavior on this site. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:11, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I not started the personal attacks. I only started to discuss the subject of the sentence.--ControlCorV (talk) 09:28, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
