Did I get this wrong?
[edit]This is what's shown in w:Indian numbering system. According to the article, this numbering system is used in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. I see that you're an overseas Pakistani, so I wonder if you know something I and the editors of the Wikipedia article I linked don't know. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:04, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, that. I modified something in Pakistan that was not right, in Counting, or something like that.
- Before my edit, 1 lakh, 10 lakh and 1 crore were VERY wrong. 1 lakh was probably 1 million, 10 lakh 10 million, and 1 crore was just simply wrong. Something along the lines of 1,00,000,000. I don't know. YourLocalWikiGuy (talk) 05:46, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
- Isn't that the place where commas are normally used in South Asia? If the Wikipedia article I linked is wrong, please discuss that on its talk page. In the meantime, I think we should go with it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:45, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
- (side note: the numbering isn't used in Sri Lanka anymore from anecdotal experience) --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 06:49, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
- I started a thread on Talk:Pakistan. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:19, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
