- I've always seen NWT, for whatever that's worth. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:21, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
- Same. I had never thought that the Northwest Territories would be abbreviated as "NT". SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 21:23, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
- The post office has two-letter abbreviations for all provinces & territories, similar to US state abbreviations. Except for BC, I do not think they are used in any other context. I'll update the page. Pashley (talk) 01:28, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
- If that's the case, should we just redirect this to the Northern Territory? No-one is going to use the postal abbreviation to find the Northwest Territories, and the Northern Territory is the only page listed where the "NT" abbreviation is used both colloquially and officially (it's more common to encounter "NT" than "Northern Territory") and add the Northwest Territories in a hatnote. - I support SHB2000's proposal. Ground Zero (talk) 07:14, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
