Request: Please review my article.
[edit]
Sincerely, I request you to review my article..Thank you so much. JHyunlee (talk) 05:44, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Overall, it is very well categorized. In particular, see is characterized by being subdivided in various ways. There are many photos included, so it feels rich. I think it would be a better article if you changed the banner to a photo that shows Nonsan well. Yujin0203 (talk) 06:02, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Your article is very nice and perfect. I want to make a great article like you. Hee Jung, Yoon (talk) 06:24, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
@JHyunlee: thank you for the improvements you have made to this article. The first paragraph of an article should explain why a reader would want to visit a place. What makes it interesting? Ground Zero (talk) 20:10, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry. I had no time to fix my first paragraph and 'Understand' section because of my mid-term exam at school. I added it yesterday, so i request that you review my article about 'Nonsan'. JHyunlee (talk) 12:16, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
Too many listings? Reorganize?
[edit]I had a look through this article just now. It's great that there's so much information in this article, and I'd actually love for more of the listings to have even more informative "content" sections that tell visitors things they would want to know. However, the number of listings in general feels really overwhelming to me. Would it be reasonable to remove some of them, or otherwise to divide some of the longest sections and subsections? For example, it is usual to divide restaurants and hotels by price category (Budget, Mid-range, and Splurge). I doubt it will be reasonable to divide up cafes that way, but do we need 31 cafes? With so many listings under "Cultural heritage sites", could they be subdivided by location (neighborhood or something)? What about "Other sights"? And at least each section or subsection needs to be alphabetized. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:21, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your detailed feedback! But i am going to busy until next Thursday because of my several team projects.. So, can I revise it further later on? JHyunlee (talk) 10:45, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- Of course! The site will be here whenever you have the time. :-) Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:08, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- I hope we don't have to remove anything, particularly from the see and do sections. The page looks very nice IMHO Hanyangprofessor2 (talk) 03:02, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- Please read Wikivoyage:Avoid long lists. I'm mainly suggesting dividing them into subsections, but why do we need 31 cafes? Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:48, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- Wouldn't a visitor to the area see a list of the various cafes listed in this article and think, "It would be nice to go there out of all the cafes?" Too much is not a good idea, but I think there should be diversity for tourists. JHyunlee (talk) 06:04, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- No, very few visitors would see a list of 31 cafes and think about going to all of them. It's overwhelming. As you said, too much is not a good idea. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:07, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks to your several feedbacks. I'd fixed the listings based on your opinions. JHyunlee (talk) 02:33, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks. The list of cafes is no longer overwhelming. Some other thoughts: I question "Non-activities" as a subheading in "Do" (or anywhere else). What really isn't an activity? Doing nothing, maybe? I also wonder about "Schools" under "See." Their listings say nothing about them as sights but seem to describe and possibly promote the curriculum and student life, though not in a way focused on travelers. In addition, the photo of Global Communications College Building at Konyang University shows nothing special. Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:23, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- In Wikivoyage, we use "Sentence case" for capitalizing sub-headings, not "Title Case". Only the first word (and paper nouns) are capitalized. See WV:SH. Ground Zero (talk) 03:40, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- I revised it! Thanks! JHyunlee (talk) 04:54, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

- I agree with your opinion. After thinking about it, as you said, I thought the 'Schools' section didn't interest people who read this Wikivoyage article. So I decided it was right to delete that section. Thanks :) JHyunlee (talk) 04:45, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- And I also changed wording from "Non-activities" to "Other places to visit". JHyunlee (talk) 04:47, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- That might be good to continue thinking about. "Places to visit" suggest "See" listings to me. I'll think about it, too. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:20, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- OK. I'll move sub-section named "Other places to visit" to "See" section! JHyunlee (talk) 05:30, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

Improving the Structure and Content of the Nonsan Wikivoyage Article
[edit]The article on Nonsan is well-categorized and rich in information, but there are some areas for improvement. While it's great that the article includes many photos and detailed listings, the number of listings can feel overwhelming. For example, there are 31 cafes listed, and while it's difficult to categorize them by price, it might be worth reconsidering whether all of them are necessary. It would be helpful to divide some of the longer sections, such as "Cultural heritage sites," by location (e.g., by neighborhood), and to organize other sections alphabetically. Additionally, restaurants and hotels could be divided by price category (Budget, Mid-range, Splurge) to make the information more digestible. This reorganization could help streamline the content and make it easier for readers to navigate the article. SHENZIHE (talk) 03:11, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
