To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.
Thanks for adding content! However, do please avoid stating that any listing in the Daegu article is in Daegu, South Korea, as that's obvious, and don't repeat the information you provide in the "address" tab - which should exclude default information - in the "content" tab. Finally, if I or someone else corrects one of your edits with an edit summary (which you can see by looking at the article's history or a specific pair of differences, it's annoying for you to add it back for no stated reason.
Let us know if you have any questions.

Edit conflict
[edit]Hi, sorry for the edit conflict in Nonsan. I was trying to edit the Gwanchoksa listing to add this:
The Standing Stone Mireuk-bosal Statue of Maitreya Buddha, which is over 18 meters tall and also dates from the Goryeo period, is the main attraction. It stands in the courtyard, along with other sculptures.
My edit summary was going to say this:
/* Temple */ This seemed worth highlighting. Information was taken from or confirmed with w:Nonsan, https://koreantempleguide.com/gwanchoksa-temple-%EA%B4%80%EC%B4%89%EC%82%AC-nonsan-chungcheongnam-do/, http://art-and-archaeology.com/korea/buyeo/gw02.html and https://www.realk.kr/destination/chungcheongnam-do/nonsan-si/nonsan-gwanchoksa-temple/
I won't edit the article more, for now, so as not to get in your way, but I thought it was important to include the attractions mentioned in w:Nonsan#Tourism.
By the way, "Temple" should be "Temples", because there's more than one.
Thanks very much, and carry on!
Best,

- Thanks for your feedback! I will revise my articles based on your description, sincerely. JHyunlee (talk) 07:27, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- I made a couple of relevant edits. Should the Ganggyoung Autumn Fermented Seafood Festival mentioned in w:Nonsan#Tourism be added to the "Do" section? By the way, that section in the Wikipedia article seems to have some repetition and could do with a bit of editing by a knowledgeable local like you.
- Also, have a look at Talk:Nonsan and see what you think about the idea of reorganizing the listings and possibly removing some of the cafes, and possibly other inessential listings (schools?). Overall, though, I'd rather that some of the listings would have more information about things a visitor would want to know and be subdivided in a logical way than for interesting listings to be removed.
- All the best,
- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:38, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
