Welcome

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikivoyage. In the article about Yesan, we don't include "Yesan" or "Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do" in the addresses of listings, because that is obvious. Please fix your error. Your professor explained this on the assignment page. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 11:55, 29 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

@유빈20: Why are you continuing to make the same mistake? Also, you must use the 24-hour clock in South Korea articles. The was also explained on the assignment page. Please correct your errors. Ground Zero (talk) 17:10, 17 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Yesan page banner

[edit]

Banners can be cropped online using CropTool without editing them in an external picture editor. Another advantage is that most of the necessary file information (author, description, license) is added automatically.

  1. Open existing source the file in Commons
  2. Select CropTool from the Tools panel on the left
  3. (The first time, you have to authorize the tool)
  4. Select Aspect ratio: 7:1, press Preview
  5. Check the preview, select Upload as new file and type the new file name according to the above instructions
  6. Press Upload
  7. After successful upload, check the new file and add it to the appropriate category "Category:Wikivoyage banners of "

@유빈20: I have removed the incorrect page banner you placed on the Yesan article. To create a new banner, follow the instructions I provided to you above. Ground Zero (talk) 17:12, 17 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I will upload the YESAN banner with reference to the new guidelines within today. 유빈20 (talk) 01:31, 20 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
What should I do if the crop tool site you sent me doesn't open? 유빈20 (talk) 02:16, 24 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Try Googling "CropTool".That I'll take you to the page. Or you can use any other software for cropping the picture. Ground Zero (talk) 02:24, 24 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I have removed the picture. Ground Zero (talk) 22:52, 3 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
What you are doing is not working. Please review the procedures outlined in Wikivoyage:Banner Expedition, paying special attention to Wikivoyage:Banner Expedition#Adding the banner to the article once you have taken the steps mentioned by Ground Zero above. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:56, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
It works now. Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 00:51, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

@유빈20: Again, in the article about Yesan, we don't include "Yesan" or "Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do" in the addresses of listings, because that is obvious. Please fix your error Why are you continuing to make the same mistake? Ground Zero (talk) 01:41, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

I'll fix it quickly. 유빈20 (talk) 02:13, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 02:15, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
@유빈20: I started a new thread on Talk:Yesan that I'd recommend for you to read and heed. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:23, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please omit default address info

[edit]

That would include "Buyeo-eup" in the Buyeo article. Thanks! I see Ground Zero mentioned similar things above. Please remove such default information. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:33, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Okay i will fix it 유빈20 (talk) 07:44, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Ikan Kekek: I don't know much about Korean city terminology, but I think that the article covers Buyeo-gun, the city of Buyeo. I think that Buyeo-eup is a district of Buyeo-gun, so it should be included in the address. Perhaps @유빈20: can explain this to us. Ground Zero (talk) 19:41, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sorry if I made a mistake. If you are right, that would be good to mention in Buyeo#Understand. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:46, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
I should have looked into this further before responding. According to w:Administrative_divisions_of_South_Korea, gun is county, si is city, eup is town. This article is about Buyeo-gun (county), and does not have separate articles for towns, so it is appropriate to list Buyeo-eup (town) in the addresses as there are other towns in Buyeo-gun that are not called Buyeo. There are several listings located in Gyuam-myeon (township) and Imcheon-myeon, which are rural areas outside of Buyeo-eup. Ground Zero (talk) 21:35, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for checking into that! Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:50, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Then I'll write it down again 유빈20 (talk) 01:28, 13 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Some corrections to recent edits

[edit]

Please make these corrections to these edits:.

  1. As your assignment page says: "In South Korea and China articles, we always use the 24-hour clock, written as 09:00-18:00, not the 12-hour clock (9AM-5PM), or a mix of the two systems, like "22 p.m.", which doesnt make any sense.
  2. We write prices as "₩1,000", not "1,000 won" or "1,000 KRW".
  3. Please review our policy on touting. Some of what you added sounds like advertising for the restaurants. We don't Wikivoyage to sound like the restaurants' websites.

Thank you. Ground Zero (talk) 12:59, 20 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

@유빈20: please correct your errors before you name add any more listings. Ground Zero (talk) 13:10, 20 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
